102.2 Jazz FM

102.2 Jazz FM is a local station for London launched in 1990. It was purchased by the Guardian Media Group in July 2002.

After disappointing RAJAR figures, GMG Radio announced in February 2005 that the station will be rebranded Smooth FM from early summer (Q3) 2005. Chief Executive John Myers said: "As sorry as we are to say goodbye to JAZZFM, it’s a sad fact of life that it has never made a profit in its 15 years of existence."
