Perpendicular style chapel added to Westminster Abbey. Battle of Ruvo - French-Spanish Wars in Italy. Vasco da Gama established India's first Portuguese fortress at Cochin. Mariotto Albertinelli paints his masterpiece, the "Visitation of the Virgin".
