  • April 20: The Boston Red Sox open in the new Fenway Park with a 7-6, 11-inning win over the New York Highlanders before 27,000. Minutes later, the Detroit Tigers opens remodeled Navin Park (later renamed Tiger Stadium), and beats the Cleveland Indians 6-5 in 11 innings before 24,384.
  • The Winnipeg Maroons win the Northern League Championship.
