2nd Congressional District of Kansas
The 2nd Congressional District of Kansas is a congressional district in eastern Kansas. It encompasses less than a quarter of the state. The capital of Topeka is included in this district. Jim Ryun has represented the district since 1996. Reapportionment for 2002 placed the western half of Lawrence as well as Miami County into the district and cut out the counties of Geary, Mongomery and Nemaha Representatives
