3GL
For 3GL as a computing abbreviation see Third generation language. ---- 3GL was an AM radio station in Geelong Victoria, Australia. The station changed to the FM band in the late 1980s and changed its name to KRock. It was bought by Ridley Corperation who set up a large studio in North Geelong where 3XY were also relocated to. In the early 1990s Krock was sold to its current owner who have since bought rival Geelong FM station Bay FM. KRock still own the 3GL AM licence, it has been leased out for a nominal figure to several minority groups since 3GL stopped broadcasting. Both KRock and Bay FM operate from the same studios in Geelong's CBD.
