• Constantine I ends persecution of Christians in the Roman Empire. Christianity is made the official religion of the Empire. The Roman Empire's seat of government is moved to Constantinople.
• Aksum is converted to Christianity by St. Frumentius of Tyre.

• Destruction of the Roman Army at the Battle of Adrianople in 378
