Adrian Scott
Adrian Scott (February 6, 1912, Arlington, New Jersey, USA - December 25, 1973, Sherman Oaks, California) was the producer of the film noirs Murder, My Sweet (dir. Edward Dmytryk 1944), Cornered (dir. Edward Dmytryk 1945), and Crossfire (dir. Edward Dmytryk 1947) and among the "Hollywood Ten" accused of
being members of the Communist Party during the House Committee on Un-American Activities trials in October 1947. Edward Dmytryk claimed that Adrian Scott pressured him to put communist propaganda in his films during Dmytryk's 1951 HUAC testimony. He was nominated for an Academy Award for Crossfire. Adrian is the brother of screenwriter Allan Scott, who is the father of actor Pippa Scott.
