Alfie
Alfie is a 1966 film starring Michael Caine. Alfie tells the story of a young man whose life consists of running from woman to woman, until several life reversals make him rethink his lifestyle. Alfie was originally a play written by Bill Naughton, the screenplay for the 1966 version of the film was adapted by Naughton as well. The film was remade [1] in 2004 starring Jude Law. The 1966 version was nominated for several Academy Awards including Best Actor in a Leading Role (Michael Caine), Best Actress in a Supporting Role (Vivien Merchant), Best Music, Song (Burt Bacharach and Hal David for Alfie), Best Picture and Best Writing, Screenplay Based on Material from Another Medium. In 2004 the magazine Total Film named it the 48th greatest British film of all time.
