ANts P2P
ANts P2P is an anonymous peer-to-peer open source GPLeded application written in Java. See Anonymous P2P for more information on anonymous peer-to-peer applications.
Features ANts P2P realizes a third generation P2P net. It protects your privacy while you are connected and makes you not trackable, hiding your identity (ip) and crypting everything you are sending/receiving from others. - Point to point encryption (AES 128 - DH 512)
- End point, end to end, encryption (AES 128 - DH 512)
- Multipath routing for packets
- Preferential connections (to give the network a fast backbone)
- Support for partial downloads
- Autosearch sources for active and interrupted downloads.
- ANts can find partial files through normal queries or queries by hash
- Full text indexing and searches over full file content and full file path location
- Non-anonymous internet relay chat, (IRC)
- Queries are encrypted asymmetrically. This means that only the originator can read the query results. Everyone can read the query string but this asymmetric approach drastically reduces the potential of a node to do trasit query analysis.
- A node's filesystem is protected against attacks based on random file push messages because you will accept ONLY push relative to a request you have made.
- Anonymous instant messaging
Possible additions - Friend 2 Friend support based on PGP keys (waiting for a working Bouncy Castle PGP implementation)
Limitations - ANts releases are not backward compatible. Keep your node updated.
