A Place in the Sun (television programme)
A Place in the Sun is a FreeForm/Channel 4 daytime lifestyle programme, about how people can buy property abroad in particular, countries like Spain, France & the United States. Presented by the former estate agent and model Amanda Lamb, however it is also presented by Victoria Hollingsworth, Simone Bienne, Zilpah Hartley & Jasmine Harman. It basically shows a couple of people looking at four selected properties in a particular area within a budget. It was a responds to the growth in Britons buying property abroad. It the last few years it has shown destinations as diverse as Bulgaria, Romania, Canada, South Africa, the Caribbean and even Cape Verde.
Spin-offs Spin-offs have included a magazine , which is now the most popular overseas property magazine, books on how to do it, and a live exhibition in London called A Place in the Sun Live.
