Archibald Bulloch

Archibald Bulloch (c.1730–1777) was a lawyer and statesman from Charleston, South Carolina. He moved to Savannah, Georgia about 1762. He was a delegate for Georgia to the Continental Congress in 1775. Later that year, as President of the Provincial Congress he became de-facto governor of Georgia during the early days of the American Revolution.
His son William Bellinger Bulloch later represented Georgia in the United States Senate, and his great-great-grandson was President Theodore Roosevelt. Bulloch County, Georgia was named in his honor.
