Atlantic Hockey
Atlantic Hockey is a college athletic conference which operates in the northeastern United States. It participates in the NCAA's Division I as a hockey-only conference. Unlike several other Division I hockey conferences, Atlantic Hockey has no women's division. From 1997 to 2003, Atlantic Hockey was known as the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). There are currently nine member schools: Quinnipiac will leave both of its current hockey conferences in July 2005 and join the ECAC Hockey League. Rochester Institute of Technology will leave the Division III ECAC West in 2005 and will join Atlantic Hockey in 2006 after a season as an independent in Division I (men only).
