B.C. Icemen
The B.C. Icemen are a defunct member of the United Hockey League. After losing their AHL team in 1997, the Binghamton and Broome County region of New York were searching for a new team to replace the Rangers. The United Hockey League jumped at the opportunity, and the B.C. Icemen started the next season. Attendance was typically low, as Binghamton fans were accustomed to a much higher quality of hockey. After AHL hockey returned to Binghamton in 2002, the Icemen were left without a home, and eventually went defunct. Former members of the team include Dieter Kochan and Brad Jones.
