Bryn Dole

Bryn Dole is a computer programmer and is currently working at Topix.net of which he is a co-founder.

Dole received a BS degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 1993. Graduated from Purdue University in 1996 with a MS in Computer Science. While at Purdue, he worked with Gene Spafford in the COAST Labratory.

Dole created the first HTML bicycling resource web page, called the WWW Bicycle Lane in 1993. Initially hosted out of Purdue University. The site was moved to its own domain, Bikelane.com, in 1997. He co-founded the Open Directory Project with Rich Skrenta, Bob Truel, Chris Tolles, and Jeremy Wenokur in 1998. Dole created a free online wine tracking web site called BottleCount.com in 2000.
