Caleb CarrCaleb Carr (born August 2, 1955) is an American novelist and noted military historian. He was born in New York City, achieved a degree in history, and is the author of The Devils General, The Alienist, The Angel of Darkness and Killing Time among others.He currently resides in upstate New York and teaches military history at Bard College. His father is Lucien Carr, a former UPI editor and early Beat generation figure.
