Capitol Corridor

 

Capitol Corridor

The Capitol Corridor is a train route operated by Amtrak in California. Because it is fully supported by the state, Capitol Corridor operates under the brand Amtrak California. It runs daily from the San Francisco Bay Area to Sacramento. A few trains then continue through the eastern Sacramento suburbs to Auburn, in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada.

Stations served by scheduled train:

  • Auburn - served mostly by Amtrak California motorcoach; one daily scheduled train
  • Rocklin - served mostly by Amtrak California motorcoach; one daily scheduled train (EB&WB)
  • Roseville - served mostly by Amtrak California motorcoach; one daily scheduled train (EB&WB)
  • Sacramento - eastern terminus for most train; motorcoach connection to Auburn, Rocklin, and Roseville
  • Davis
  • Suisun/Fairfield
  • Shared with San Joaquin Route
  • *Martinez
  • *Richmond - connection to BART
  • *Berkeley
  • *Emeryville - connection to San Francisco via Amtrak California motorcoach
  • *Oakland
  • Oakland Coliseum - open summer 2005; connection to Oakland International Airport via airport shuttle
  • Hayward
  • Fremont-Centerville - connection to ACE
  • Santa Clara/Great America - near Paramount's Great America Amusement Park; connection to ACE, VTA Mountain View-Baypointe light rail line via Lick Mill light rail station
  • San Jose - connection to Caltrain, ACE, VTA Vasona light rail line (open Summer 2005)
