ColchoneroColchonero - literally Spanish for "mattress maker" - is a nickname given to players, supporters and members of Atlético Madrid football club, in Spain. The name has its origin in the colour of the shirts of the Atlético strip, which have thick red and white vertical stripes. This was traditionally the colour of matresses made by one manufacturer in Spain. |
