Daily Nebraskan
A daily newspaper based at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Although many journalism students work there, the Daily Nebraskan is independent of the College of Journalism and Mass Communication at UNL. It publishes every school day during the regular school year, and on a weekly basis during summer. The coverage includes campus and local news, along with arts and entertainment and sports. There is also an opinion page featuring student columnists. The paper, once called "The Rag," now is affectionately called, "The DN" by most students. It has been a campus institution since 1901. Recently, the paper has racked up a number of awards, including ones calling it the best large daily college newspaper in the nation.
