Dalamar
Dalamar Argent (265 AC - ), also known as Dalamar the Dark is a fictional character from the Dragonlance series of books. He was a Silvanesti elf untill he violated their laws and practiced the dark arts of necromancy. Expelled from his home he would eventually be apprenticed to the great archmagus, Raistlin Majere. Raistlin would later discover this treachery and leave his chest forever burning with the mark of his five fingers. Some believe that Dalamar and Raistlin's relationship was beyond a relationship of apprentice and teacher, due to Dalamar's words to Kitiara about Raistlin, and how he insists on calling Raistlin shalafi, the elven word for teacher. Later, after Raistlin is sealed away in the Abyss, he became Head of the Black Robes, Highmage and Head of the Conclave. Then, after the Chaos War, when magic disappeared, the Shadow Sorcerer (who would later be revealed as Takhisis) granted him with the power of wild magic necromancy. He hid in a tower of high sorcery untill such a time as Palin Majere and Tasselhoff Burfoot found him. Soon after, he and Palin were slain by Takhisis and her minions, and he was to be used in a plot to bring the world wholly under the dark goddess' command. Later, when the war of souls was won, he was almost slain by Nuitari, his chief deity, for betraying him and all of magic, but Palin insisted he be given life and the magic of old.
