Day by Day

Day by Day

Day by Day was also a television sitcom. See Day by Day (television).

Day by Day is a Beatles bootleg series presented by the publisher Yellow Dog that presents the entire (more of less) series of Nagra tape rolls used to record the Let It Be sessions.

Yellow Dog was up to around volume 33-34 when they were busted. This resulted in Purple Chick, a purely online trading bootlegger, to continue the series up to what became Day by Day volume 38.

Each volume contains two discs, each of which has four tracks most of the time. These tracks are 16-minute tape rolls which have not been edited (although it is assumed that, like other Yellow Dog releases, the tapes are noise-reduced and might contain small reverb to spruce up the dry audio).

What Yellow Dog has released are mono Nagra Rolls as recorded by camera A, which was the primary one for the most part. Camera B rolls, which were turned on to fill up gaps when Camera A was changing rolls, are contained unedited on the Unicorn label. Yet recently Purple Chick has released a series entitled A/B Road, which combines both A and B rolls to fill in gaps. A simulated stereo release with the A and B rolls combined, can be found in Yellow Dog's A-Cam B-Cam.
