Deborah Norville

 

Deborah Norville

Deborah Norville (born August 8, 1958 in Dalton, Georgia) is an American television personality. Since 1995, she has been host of the American television program "Inside Edition".

She previously was a reporter and anchor for MSNBC and co-host of NBC's "Today" show, replacing Jane Pauley in a highly-publicized anchor switch in 1989.

On February 2, 2005, MSNBC announced that Norville would be replaced as prime time host on the network by Tucker Carlson, who previously co-hosted CNN's Crossfire.

Norville is a graduate of the University of Georgia. She has twice been awarded an Emmy Award for her television work.

She is married to Karl Wellner and has three children.
