Demashita! Powerpuff Girls Z
Demashitaa! PowerPuff Girls Z (出ましたっ！パワパフガールズZ ) is the provisional name for a Japanese anime spin-off of the American animated television series The Powerpuff Girls. It is being made by Cartoon Network, Toei Animation, and Aniplex; with Sam Register, Hiromi Seki, and Hideo Katsumata producing; Hiroyuki Kakudou directing; and character design by Miho Shimogasa. It is set to start airing on television in Japan in June 2005, and in North America in November 2005. Since the show was first revealed around April 1, it was believed by many to be an April Fool's joke.
Characters Akatsutsumi Momoko aka Blossom. Transforms using the phrase "Hyper Blossom" and uses a yo-yo as a weapon. Goutokuji Miyako aka Bubbles. Transforms using the phrase "Rolling Bubbles" and uses a bubble wand as a weapon. Matsubara Kaoru aka Buttercup. Transforms using the phrase "Powered Buttercup" and uses a Daruma Otoshi hammer as a weapon. Professor Ken Kitazawa. A young boy genius who creates the Powerpuff Girls from regular girls using "Chemical X". Mojo. Mojo Jojo from the original cartoon, the only character who remains unchanged (at least visually).
