Dhanbad
Dhanbad is one of the districts of Jharkhand state, India. The name of the district headquarters is also Dhanbad. Dhanbad is famous for its coal mines and industrial establishments. The Indian School of Mines located here draws students from all over the world. Central Mining Research Institute, and Central Fuel Research Institute are located located here. Agencies like DGMS, CMPDIL, CMPF are there and play wide variety of roles in their respective disciplines to serve the coal industry. Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) is also situated here. Dhanbad is the second highest revenue generator for railways in India.
