Eat the Document
Eat the Document is an unreleased documentary of Bob Dylan's 1966 tour of England with the Hawks. Shot by D. A. Pennebacker, whose groundbreaking documentary Don't Look Back chronicled Dylan's 1965 British tour. Dylan himself was said to have edited Eat the Document. While technically deficient and often poorly photographed, the film has some high moments (literally and figuratively), notably featuring Dylan in a limo with John Lennon and some excellent concert footage and exquisite renderings of some of Dylan's greatest songs of the period. As it was never released it is hard to find.
