Eldad Tsabary
Montreal-based composer Eldad Tsabary composes electroacoustic, experimental-ambient, orchestral and chamber music. His music was recorded and performed by musicians such as the Bulgarian Philharmonic, conductor Robert Ian Winstin, award-winning trombonist Haim Avitsur, the Cygnus Ensemble, and composer Robert Cuckson. Performances include Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall, 38th Annual Indiana State University Contemporary Music Festival, Stanford University's CCRMA, "Primavera en la Habana 2004" (Cuba), Electrolune 2004 (Lunel, France), Burning Man Festival 2004, The Weisman Museum at the Spark Festival in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Synthese 2003 festival (Bourges, France), Electric Rainbow Coalition Festival 2003 (Hanover, New Hampshire), Most Significant Bytes 2004 (Mount Union College - Alliance, Ohio), "New Music Days" festival (Bilgi University, Istanbul), Contemporary Art Museum (St Louis, Missouri), EuCue concert Series at the Oscar Peterson Concert Hall (Concordia University, Montreal, Canada), The Bucharest National University of Music (Romania), Southern Utah University (Cedar City, Utah), Bar-Ilan University (Ramat Gan, Israel), Music Under Construction (New York City), Under St. Marks Theatre (NYC), Birmingham-Southern College (Birmingham, Alabama), 11th Annual International Electro-Acoustic Music Festival at Brooklyn College and CUNY's Elebash Hall. Mr. Tsabary's music is released by ERMMedia, Capstone Records, JAZZIS, The Infinite Sector and comfortstand.com, and published by Editions-BIM (Switzerland) Eldad received his education at CUNY's Graduate School and University Center doctoral program, the Mannes College of Music, Musitechnic (Montreal) and the Rimon School of Jazz and Contemporary Music in Israel. He studied composition under David Loeb, David Del Tredici, David Olan, and Tim Brady and theory under Carl Schachter, Philip Rupprecht, and Philip Lambert. As a flutist, Mr. Tsabary performed and recorded Jazz, Latin, and Folk music with musicians such as British composer Graham Collier, composer guitarist Hagai Rehavia and (currently) Montreal-based Internacional Sonora Calavera. Performances include Cafe Campus (Montreal), La Sala Rossa (Montreal), Rockotitlan (Mexico City, Mexico), with Los Calzones at Cafe Iguana (Monterrey, Mexico), with Los de Abajo at La Explanada (Delegacion Iztacalco, Mexico), among others.
