Escherichia Coli Enteritis

Escherichia Coli Enteritis (E.Coli) is a bacteria that attacks the intestinal tract. It can be transmitted person to person and grows at tempteratures of 44 degrees F (6.4 degrees C) and above. In extreme cases, it can cause serious complications in children and elderly people. Symptoms include abdominal cramps, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and fever.

Prevention


Take these precautions to prevent the spread of E. Coli:
  • Prepare and store all food in a sanitary environment.
  • Thoroughly cook all food.
  • Refrigerate all food at 40 degrees F (4.4 degrees C) or below.
