Father Cucchiara Memorial School

Father Cucchiara Memorial School (郭怡雅神父紀念學校) is a catholic primary school established by Sisters Announcers of the Lord (顯主女修會) in Cheung Ching Estate, Tsing Yi Island of Hong Kong in 1977. Catholic Church started to be in-charge of the school in 1987.

The Sisters Announcers of the Lord named the school to memorise Father Cucchiara's great contribution to their rebuilt, and his service in Hong Kong and southern China.

The School is divided into A.M. school and P.M. school. Two school are gradually merging into one whole-day school as the birth rate decreases siginificantly in Hong Kong.

Motto

以樂事主 (lit. Serve Lord with Joy)

School Song

The school had no school song at the beginning. In the mid 1908s, the headmaster and a father wrote a Chinese school song (sung in Cantonese).
The lyrics are:

我們的學校，迄立在青山綠水的長青邨。
: Our School stands on the ground of the Cheung Ching Estate among greeny hills and waters.
它是我們的大家庭，也是我們智慧的泉源。
: It is our family and also our fountain of wishdom.
敦品勵行，進德修業；

效法基督，為人羣服務，愛德永存。

我愛我校，敬重敎晦。

效法敦怡雅神父的刻苦、犧牲、愛主、愛人的精神。

福音永播，立己立人。

顯揚我校，顯揚我校的光榮。
