Fida International

Fida International is in accordance with its name an international mission and development co-operation organization. The word ‘fida’ originates from Latin and signifies faithful and reliable.

By its character Fida International is a charitable organization that aims at helping people among different cultures in a comprehensive way. We want to respond to both spiritual and material needs of our neighbours. Love for God and for our neighbours go hand in hand.

Fida International operates in 48 countries. Its 437 missionaries guarantee that the aid is directed to the intended destination. In addition there are hundreds of young people doing short-term voluntary work and receiving education for the missionary work. Missionary families have altogether nearly two hundred children.

Finnish Pentecostal Churches own the organization that serves with its work everybody regardless their religious, cultural and racial backgrounds. Our partners are generally national churches or congregations that know the culture and circumstances of their country. This is a great help in order to direct our aid to the right destination.

Our long-term co-operation with the Development Co-operation unit of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Finland shows that our work has been recognized and that it is appreciated. We are one of the leading Finnish civic organizations that receive support from the Government.

Fida International is the largest mission and development co-operation organization in Finland when counting the number of missionaries. It is one of the largest also in whole Europe. The values of our work are based on the Bible.
