FIRRIB

FIRRIB is an abbreviation for Frenzy is Red, Rumble is Blue

A point of good-natured contention between Transformers fans regarding the color of two Decepticon cassette robots, Rumble and Frenzy.

The characters' respective toys and comic book portrayals present Frenzy to be blue, and Rumble to be red. This is abbreviated as FIBRIR - Frenzy Is Blue, Rumble Is Red.

However, in the animated series, the characters' colours were switched. Being that the animated series is more enduring in the memory of fans and non-fans, "FIRRIB" - Frenzy Is Red, Rumble Is Blue, is the term used to describe this argument, even though it's clear that the cartoon was in the wrong - even the cartoon's series bible identified Rumble as the red robot. The term is essentially incorrect, though, because while Frenzy is red, Rumble's not even blue in the cartoon - he's purple.
