Full Circle Temple

Full Circle Temple

Full Circle Temple (also known as the Women's Temple) is a place of worship and community center for women located in Portland, Oregon. It was founded on November 11, 1995 by a Portland businesswoman who converted her former futon shop for use by the local community as a women-only space. The temple is a non-profit religious organization incorporated in Oregon, and is governed by a consensus-based, all-volunteer council. It also provides services limited to women within its community that include a weekly food distribution program and a bi-monthly newsletter.

The temple observes eight major ceremonial days of Samhain, Yule, Imbolc, Vernal Equinox, Beltaine, Summer Solstice, Lammas and Autumnal Equinox, and both full moon and new moon rites, marked by a largely improvised ritual often modelled after feminist witchcraft traditions. These ceremonies are officiated by qualified volunteers. The temple offers a training course in priestessing rituals and a priestess discussion and leadership group.

The temple building is open for occasional use by women in the community, with workshop and healing arts spaces, and several guest rooms available for short-term use. Fees for workshop and healing spaces are negotiated between the individual and the Full Circle Temple Council, guest rooms are available on a sliding fee scale.

Full Circle Temple is located at 3125 East Burnside Street in Portland, Oregon. It is open to self-identified women and girls, and boy-children under the age of two.
