Established in 1978, the G30 is a private, nonprofit, international body composed of senior persons from the private and public sectors, and academia. Its purpose is to deepen understanding of international economic and financial issues, to explore the international repercussions of policy decisions, and to examine policy options for key issues. Members meet in plenary sessions twice a year to discuss economic, financial and policy developments. Foundations, banks, corporations, central banks, and private individuals fund the G30.
