Gerald Fusil

Gerald Fusil is the creater of the Raid Gauloises, widely considered the first modern adventure race. Fusil stopped working on the Raid in 1998 to start the Elf Authentic Adventure. Fusil is a vocal critic of those who would commercialize adventure racing, such as Mark Burnett, creator of the Eco-Challenge. Fusil believe that adventure racing should remain a sport for the "common person" not professional atheletes chasing prize money.
