Ghinwa Bhutto
'Ghinwa Bhutto is the Chairperson Pakistan People’s Party-Shaheed Bhutto (PPP-SB). The Lebanese widow of Mir Murtaza Bhutto, she has staked her claim to her share of the Bhutto political legacy. Estranged from her in-laws, Ghinva has vowed to bring her husban's killers to justice. Her sister-in-law, Benazir Bhutto is among those accused to have been part of the conspiracy to kill Murtaza. Ghinva has been actively courted by Benazir's rivals. In 1997, she stood for elections unsuccessfully against her mother-in-law and then Pakistan Peopl'es Party President, Nusrat Bhutto. In 2002, Pakistani election authorities rejected the candidacy of Ghinva Bhutto, former prime minister Benazir Bhutto's estranged sister-in-law, from contesting October 10 polls. She was rejected on the grounds of not possessing the required minimum academic qualification of a university degree.
