GM Zeta platform
Zeta is General Motors' new midsize rear wheel drive automobile platform. The architecture was engineered by Holden of Australia and debuts in 2004 with the 2005 Opel Insignia. It will be the underpinning of the next Holden Monaro and Pontiac GTO. The future of the Zeta architecture is in question. In March, 2005, Robert Lutz reportedly directed work on the platform and related vehicles in North America to cease.
