Gnaeus Cornelius Cinna MagnusGnaeus Cornelius Cinna Magnus was the great-grandson of the famous 1st century BC general and imperator Pompey the Great. Cinna was involved in a conspiracy against emperor Caesar Augustus, alongside Aemilia Lepida, the granddaughter of the triumvir Marcus Aemilius Lepidus. Both of them were pardoned by Augustus in AD 4.Cinna is the main character of many latin plays and of a tragedy called "Cinna" by the famous 17th century French playwright Molière.
