Gobstoppers
Gobstoppers are candies marketed by The Willy Wonka Candy Company. The marketing of a candy called "Gobstoppers" by the Willy Wonka company brings to mind the infamous Everlasting Gobstopper from the movie Charlie and the Chocolate Factory-- candies which were purported in the film to last forever. However, it is noteworthy that the real-world Gobstoppers do not resemble those from the movie at all. The movie's "gobstoppers" more closely resembled technicolor landmines conceived during a bad acid trip. Gobstoppers come in the original harder variety, and the newer chewy version. Also, Real-world gobstoppers are spherical sweets that contain multiple flavours and colours, which one reaches in sequence during the course of the candy dissolving. In cross section, the "perfect" Gobstopper would resemble the cross-section of a planet, with multiple concentric rings of varying colours.
