A conjunction is a part of speech that connects two words, phrases, or clauses together.
Coordinating conjunctions If the two are of equal importance, it is a coordinating conjunction. The first seven produce the mnemonic FANBOYS.
Correlative conjunctions A pair of words that connect two similar parts are correlative conjunctions. both ... and either ... or neither ... nor not only ... but whether ... or
Subordinate conjunctions If one phrase is subordinate to another, it is a subordinate conjunction. - after
