Gusanos
Gusanos is a free cross-platform multiplayer computer game. It is written in C++ using the Allegro games library and the Zoidcom networking library. It was created by the Argentine programmer Mario "Basara" Carbajal, assisted by various other programmers over the Internet. The game is a clone of the popular game Liero, with various improvements such as dynamic lights, flowing water and netplay. Gusanos is the Spanish word for 'worms'. The latest version is 0.8.1 (released December 12, 2004) with 0.9 under development as a complete rewrite. In 2005, Erik "Gliptic" Lindroos, creator of LOSP (Liero Open Source Project) stopped LOSP development to join the Gusanos team. Gusanos is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License.
