"Ha'she'ket She'nish'ar"(in Hebrew) can be translated as "The Silence That Was Left". The song was written By Eyal Shachar and Pyini A. The performer is Shiri Maymon, an Israeli super-star, who was born in Haifa.
The Israeli pre-selection took place in Jerusalem, on March 2005. Among 14 songs, Shiri's song, "Ha'she'ket She'nish'ar" was chosen by the viewers at home (televoting) mixed with 5 juries' voting. With 116 points, Shiri was announced as the official Israeli representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 in Kyiv.
