Har Mar Mall
Har Mar Mall is a moderately-sized shopping mall located in Roseville, Minnesota. The mall was built in 1961, with major additions to the mall in 1971 (addition of a new strip-mall style wing), and major renovations in the mid-1990s. Until the mid-1990s, the mall was in serious decline, with decreasing numbers of visitors and increasing vacancy. However, the combination of a series of interior renovations, renovations to the movie theaters, and the opening of a new Barnes and Noble bookstore (as well as the addition of some other mid-range department stores) resulted in a huge resurgence in popularity for the mall as a destination for bargain shopping. he shopping mall maintains a reputation for being deliberately downscale, small and unpretentious (in contrast to the much larger and newer Rosedale shopping mall nearby).
