Have A Cigar
Have a Cigar comes between Welcome to the Machine and the title track on Pink Floyd's 1975 album Wish You Were Here. Like Machine, this song is about the evils of the music business and how it contributed to the deterioration in health of the band's former leader and main songwriter Syd Barrett. The song ends with the sound effect of a radio being dialed off station.
Trivia The lyric "Oh by the way, which one's Pink?" is rumored to have actually been asked of the band when they were first starting out in the mid-to-late 70s. This is condemning of the music executive since Pink Floyd is the name of the band as a whole, not any particular member, which implies that said executive actually knows almost nothing about them.
