Head Lake (Ontario)

There are several Head Lakes in the province of Ontario:

The Head Lake in the Kawartha Lakes region is located between Uphill (to the west) and Norland (to the east) along Kawartha road 45 (formerly highway 503). The community of Head Lake is located on this lake. This is an excellent lake to fish for bass and pickerel (sometimes called walleye). The lake is about 3 miles wide and 5 miles long. It is drained by the Head River which flows into the Black River to empty into Lake Couchiching.

The Head Lake in Haliburton County is located near the village of Haliburton. The Drag River flows through this lake.
