He Has Left Us Alone But Shafts Of Light Sometimes Grace The Corners Of Our Rooms...
He Has Left Us Alone But Shafts Of Light Sometimes Grace The Corners Of Our Rooms... is an album released by A Silver Mt. Zion, a post rock band, on Constellation Records in 2000. Efrim described the recording of this first album as a "Jewish experience" dedicated to his dog Wanda, who had died while Godspeed You! Black Emperor was on tour. The album was initially to be named He Has Left Us Alone, but it was decided that this was too weak, and didn't convey the proper mood. The original vinyl release featured two tracks. On CD releases, the tracks were indexed into four parts each, resulting in eight tracks.
Tracks: "lonely as the sound of lying on the ground of an airplane going down.":* broken chords can sing a little.* sit in the middle of three galloping dogs.* stumble then rise on some awkward morning.* movie(never made). "the world is sickSICK;(so kiss me quick):* 13 angels standing guard 'round the side of your bed.* long march rocket or doomed airliner.* blown-out joy from heaven's mercied hole.* for wanda.
