Heusler

Heusler

The so-called Heusler alloy, the first known ferromagnetic
alloy, was discovered in 1899 by Fritz Heusler. The standard Heusler alloy consists of approximately two parts of copper, one of manganese, and one of tin although other variations are possible.
In recent time, the importance of Heusler alloys for spintronics has been
increasing.
