HijackThis

It quickly scans your computer and creates a list of all programs, ActiveX modules, and BHOs(Browser Helper Objects) which are loaded by your computer upon startup. It will also create a logfile (plain text) with this information which can then be posted within forums where many people in the online community will help decipher which entries need to be removed.

Caution should be exercised when using HijackThis as you can disable important programs from running, possibly causing your system or peripherals to stop working. It will create backups of the files and registry entries it removes that you can use to restore your system if you make a mistake.
