Himalayan states is the name given collectively to all the countries/states which contain the mountain range of the Himalayas. This definition includes the following countries and regions: Nepal Bhutan Tibet (located in the People's Republic of China) The following states of Northern India:* Arunachal Pradesh* Nagaland* Tripura* Manipur* Meghalaya* Mizoram* Sikkim* Himachal Pradesh* Jammu and Kashmir* Uttaranchal* The Darjeeling district of West Bengal Buddhism is the main religion in the Himalayan region.
