Hugh Deasy
Hugh Deasy is the author of a collecion of short stories, political cartoons and other artwork, Grannies and Time Machines, published in April 2005 ( ISBN 1905277458 ). He is the nephew of Austin Deasy. A former scholar of Dunsink Observatory, Dublin, Ireland (see, e.g. astrophysical letter to Nature at [1] ), he currently works at ESOC as a flight dynamics consultant and writes fiction and draws and paints in his spare time. His first book deals with a range of themes, including tales of everyday life in Ireland and elsewhere, straight science fiction or fantasy and socially critical tales where the injustices of history are put right by time travellers or robots. The art work ranges from political cartoons to science fiction comic strips to fantasy, surreal and abstract compositions.
