HVDC Leyte - Luzon

The HVDC Leyte - Luzon is a plant for high voltage direct current transmission between the islands Leyte and Luzon of the Philipinia, which went in service in 1998. The HVDC Leyte - Luzon begins at Orno on the island Leyte and ends at Ormoc on the island Luzon. The HVDC Leyte - Luzon can transfer an output of 440 megawatts. It is implemented as monopolar line for a voltage of 350 kV and is implemented in a length of 430 kilometers as overhead line and a length of 21 kilometers as submarine cables.
