Kyo is part of the name of three villages near Anfield Plain in County Durham, in England. East Kyo and West Kyo are located about half a mile from each other to the north west of Anfield Plain. They are very small and contain only a few homes each. New Kyo is located next to the A693 road between Anfield Plain and Stanley, and is slightly larger, containing a housing estate, a garage and the King's Head ice cream company. In the past three years New Kyo has doubled in population with the demolition of its school and the construction of a new housing estate.
Kyo is also the name of a Japanese musician and a French band.
