LaFace
LaFace Records is an Atlanta based record label company created by Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds and Antonio "LA" Reid. The combined nicknames of the two producers inspired the name of the company. LaFace was a highly dominant and succesful label throughout the 90's, responsible for producing popular artists such as TLC, Céline Dion, Toni Braxton, Outkast and Pink. Towards the end of the decade LaFace Records, a division of Arista Records, produced fewer artists and Babyface began to focus more on his own music career. Recently LaFace Records has reappeared on the music scene as one quarter of the newly rearranged Zomba Label Group. Also in the Zomba Group portfolio are labels So So Def, Verity and Jive.
